Do any of these stories sound familiar?

Definitely no physical reason, and for the other two… sometimes, sometimes not.

I can enjoy sex and foreplay but as soon as it gets to the moment of penetration, I start to go soft. Because it’s happened before my brain automatically panics that it’s going to happen again in the build up

All of them

I get stressed as I want my partner to enjoy it and worry they are not. I also now think I can’t enjoy sex as much as I used to and can’t see myself going multiple times a day in different positions

I’m really into the person and I’m hard and then… suddenly it just turns off?? I almost have to start a little meditation to bring it back. And sometimes it just doesn’t come back. I used to not have issues and then two years ago I had a hookup and I had no idea what was going on….

Continuous negativity towards me and as soon as something started to go wrong I felt I was being criticised, not sure now if I was or it was me and my negative voice doing all the damage.

It feels like I am completely disconnected from the environment and the experience taking place.

I’ve never wanted anyone more than my partner non stop but I’m so afraid to start something spontaneously and it go wrong

Soon as I notice it going soft I start to worry and then it doesn’t come back. New relationship after a long time single after a nasty divorce and betrayal. Really like her and want a future with her. Quit porn, hormones checked ok. Pills help but don’t want to become reliant on them. Quite a lot of life stress and anxiety. She’s very understanding but it worries me and I just want to lose myself in the moment and not be worrying about.

Sometimes I feel like sex isn’t as exciting as what I see on screen. I wonder if I’m actually pleasing my partners. Once I started thinking about that versus being more connected, I tend to go soft. It could come back, or it can’t. It’s very unpredictable.

It feels like I’m in negative feedback loop. Because I’ve struggled with it a number of times in the past I feel like there’s now a barrier present that makes me go soft. This can happen before penetration or afterwards during sex. Even when I do get past the initial point and get to penetration that’s no guarantee as something like changing position can trigger that concern of staying hard.

I feel good going into having sex and just at the moment it’s time for penetration it goes soft and then I get inside my head. Maybe thinking I can’t please her and not confident at performing

I know I am stuck in a negative cycle loop. My partner expects me to have erections on a schedule on the says she is most fertile as we’re trying for a baby. If sex doesn’t end with me ejaculating inside her she gets visibly angry. On two occasions she has sent me to the couch. While we both want kids I simply want to avoid sex because I cannot perform to her expectation

Yeah I feel very similar

I recently started seeing this girl, and we decided to make the relationship official. Shortly after we decide to have sex. We start getting busy, and I realize I can’t get hard. After awhile, I finally get hard, but it doesn’t stay that way. I then went and got Viagra. It helped, but then I was apparently taking too long to climax. So then she started crying, and I just feel terrible. I really like her, but my body is not cooperating.

I wanted to talk more about my sex drive to be honest…

Everytime i am about to have intercourse i feel myself going soft and once i feel that i find it hard to get back up

Work is very stressful. I put pressure on myself to perform during sex and then lose it.

I’m a gay man who can bottom, but I also enjoy topping. If a guy has a stereotypically great body or I feel is out of my league, I get it my head and can’t get or stay hard.
