How was meditating for that long?

I don’t understand the benefit from meditation which makes even 5 minutes feel like a very long time. I’m able to focus on it for a while but lose my focus because I’m not getting anything from it…

The objective is actually to bring back your focus when you lose it! See it as a rep at the gym, you want to control your thoughts when they wanderer

5 min seems short. Ill go longer. 20min is a good time.

10 minutes sweet spot

15 minutes was a bit long and I realized once again that I don’t exactly have a space where I’m not going to be called upon or wondered about

10 minutes is the sweet spot, it’s like working out pushing with only just a little bit more weight.

5 minutes has been a good way to get in the habit without overwhelming myself but I’d like to progress to 10 minutes

I would probably do it for five more minutes.

I tried the 15 minute version and found it to be a bit overly long in getting to and from the actual meditation. I’ll try the 10 minute version next time.

Felt great. Certainly won’t be able to practice that long every time but the time melted away.

Given the preamble, five minutes ended up being not quite long enough. Hit five solid minutes of meditation would be a good start for me.

Good but I think 15 minutes is better.

Five minutes of silence (other than ambient noise) feels like it would be good for now, but I’d like to increase that later to ten minutes, or maybe even 15.
