The connection cue is not an easy one. Will keep trying
I think the biggest thing from this was relaxing. Relaxing brought clarity, clarity allows you to find your cue
I could. I’m just unfortunately in a situation where we are doing long distance. So have to adapt it to that until then
I think it will be useful, but I will need to listen to it a few more times to embed the information
Relaxing is so important - I think the touch and pacing cues can help.
Seems like the pleasure cue could be different each time, will need to practice
Starting to use it now but I’m monitoring myself all day every day, not only when I’m with my partner
Just thinking about sex now I start to get tense so it will good to have this practice to slowly ease back to the real thing. Feels like the trigger can be very complicated and not the same thing everytime so it’s important to stay mentally flexible with this practice.
It is hard to know exactly what the pleasure cue is as it changes in the moment but I’m sure this technique works well with practice
I believe if I can understand how it works it will be easier for me to use it.
Yes
I’ll certainly try it. My biggest problem is rushing due to paranoia about pleasing my partner, but taking deep breaths and slowing down will practically help me do so without fear
I think this might help, next time, if happens, I’m gonna breath, and focus on me to be calm, and enjoy the moment.
Slowing down and being in the moment is what’s going to help me. I’ve taught my mind and body that rushing is the only way
Was good! Went for a hand on the back of my head. Really felt the relaxation in the lower stomach
I see now how I’ve taught my body to brace and be tense, anticipating disappointing my partner and rushing to climax for fear of being asked to hurry up. I don’t need to do this anymore with my current partner. These simple steps give me some hope to retrain my body into feeling safe and secure!
I hope so, out my comfort zone with this stuff though
I think this might help. My brain is trained to fear and panic until things start working. That stops me enjoying the moment which actually causes the problem. I need to relax and stop overthinking
I found the practice disjointed to start; I was taking the individual steps as a complete action, not as part of a seamless process. Once I began to get the flow, I could feel a real reaction and intensification of arousal.
Hoping to get out of my head with this the breathing and belly exercises should definitely help
