What did you observe about your monkey mind?

A lot of random scattered thoughts shooting around everywhere. But after a while it slowed down a bit.

It darted from thought to thought really quickly as I observed it. Eventually the thoughts became longer and less chaotic

I noticed the longer I did the practice, the more it calmed, as I didn’t challenge it, I just let it be

First time trying this. I found it quite hard to take a step back and observe my own thoughts from an “outside” perspective. I’m finding i can look into where my thoughts went now that I am no longer doing the exercise, but at the time I found that letting the thoughts happen was drawing me further into them.

It was easiest to just not give a fuck and not filter stuff rather then fighting back againest it

I have to do this more frequently. I usually let myself get to the point of almost being out of control before I’ll look to do some maintenance. By then I usually came close to or had an erection incident. It could be avoided with by not letting it build

Unsurprisingly observing the chatter calmed it down. I was surprised how effectively. It felt like ic was an audience to my own thoughts. Really interesting and effective way to meditate.
